Refund and cancellation policy
How the policy applies before work, after work starts, and after delivery.
Research architecture
Version-awareDocument framework
Published operational boundaries remain versioned and reviewable.
Review state
ExplicitThis policy applies to all six one-time Harborfield Business Consulting LLC products: Solo Idea Safety & Fit Screen ($90 USD), Market Evidence Report ($300 USD), Solo Practice Positioning & Pricing Analysis ($950 USD), Website & Operations Documentation Pack ($1,500 USD), Three-Market Expansion Feasibility Study ($2,000 USD), and Complete Solo Practice Research Dossier ($2,500 USD).
Current payment status: Live payments are disabled. Test/mock transactions move no money, so they do not create a real payment to refund. The rules below govern the approved purchase lifecycle when payment is enabled under the separate launch requirements.
If authoritative payment success does not occur, no completed purchase or paid entitlement exists. Harborfield does not describe a refund as issued when money was not successfully captured. If you believe an actual charge occurred, contact written support with the order or transaction reference, without card details.
A confirmed duplicate charge or technical overcharge receives a full refund or reversal of the erroneous amount. The valid original order remains unaffected.
Cancellation before Harborfield starts substantive work receives a full refund. This remains true if intake has been submitted but research or service work has not started.
Incomplete intake does not start the delivery clock. Harborfield requests necessary structured information in writing. Cancellation before substantive work starts still receives a full refund. An incomplete or abandoned order is not treated as completed service or automatic forfeiture.
Substantive work begins only after required eligibility, scope, and intake validation and applicable order prerequisites have passed, when Harborfield begins one or more of:
The milestone is recorded against the order with its time, actor or system source, and triggering activity. Order creation, payment recording, eligibility processing, intake receipt, and basic completeness validation alone are not substantive work.
There is no automatic change-of-mind refund after substantive work begins. Harborfield remains responsible for the applicable purchased delivery and correction obligations. Routine partial or percentage refunds are not a standard option.
A correctly delivered report is not automatically refundable because you dislike its conclusion, evidence is unfavorable, expected demand is not found, your idea changes, or you decide not to proceed. Harborfield does not offer a satisfaction, demand, earnings, or business-success guarantee.
If Harborfield cannot deliver the material purchased compliant service, the normal outcome is a full refund. Harborfield will not silently substitute a materially different product.
If completed post-purchase intake establishes that the request cannot lawfully or compliantly proceed within Harborfield's accepted scope, processing stops and the default outcome is a full refund. Suspected fraud, abuse, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, or intentional misrepresentation is routed to documented written internal/security review. Payment never authorizes a blocked service.
Evidence availability is evaluated against the purchased product. For the Solo Idea Safety & Fit Screen, unavailable Census or DataForSEO visible-search evidence is disclosed and does not by itself establish refund eligibility if the approved core screen can still be delivered.
For a product materially dependent on unavailable validated evidence, Harborfield may narrow conclusions or request permitted information where the product scope allows, complete or correct the purchased scope where possible, or provide a full refund when the material purchased service cannot be delivered. Missing evidence is never replaced with fabricated evidence.
A reported material Harborfield factual or calculation error uses the included correction process first when it can reasonably be corrected within the purchased scope. If a material nonconformity cannot reasonably be corrected within that scope, the normal outcome is a full refund.
The product-specific allowances remain those in the Terms: one factual/clerical written request for the $90 screen; one consolidated written round for each $300, $950, $1,500, and $2,000 product; and two rounds for the $2,500 dossier, with the second limited to unresolved first-round issues or errors introduced in the first round. New services, markets, questions, or additional work are not corrections.
Partial refunds are not a standard customer entitlement or a self-service option. Harborfield does not promise pro-rata refunds, percentage refunds after work begins, or partial refunds on request.
An exceptional partial refund may occur only through documented written human review of genuinely divisible partial non-performance that cannot reasonably be handled through full completion, correction, or full refund. The review must identify retained/delivered scope and the refunded amount and define report, portal, and correction-access treatment while preserving accurate transaction records.
Once an approved full refund is provider-confirmed, future authenticated portal/download access to the refunded report is revoked and future correction entitlement for that product ends. Required minimal transaction, refund, and audit records remain subject to the Privacy notice.
Harborfield cannot recall or remotely delete a report already downloaded to your device.
Refund requested or under review, refund initiated, refund completed/provider-confirmed, and refund failed are different states. A requested, approved, or initiated refund is not represented as completed before authoritative provider confirmation.
Written status identifies the order, refund amount, safely available original-payment-method description, initiation or status date, and current status. Harborfield targets initiation within two business days after approval. Bank or card posting times depend on the provider; no exact posting time is promised.
Delivery estimates and start/pause conditions are in the Terms. If Harborfield reasonably expects to miss an estimate, it will notify you in writing with the current order status, a revised estimate where reasonably possible, and the applicable approved cancellation/refund option. Delay does not create a separate automatic compensation or percentage-refund promise.
Email support@harborfield.us with your order identifier and a concise explanation. Support is written and asynchronous. Do not include card numbers, CVV, bank credentials, passwords, API keys, or sensitive documents. The public assistant and administrative phone are not refund-processing routes.
Refund framework
Review, initiation, confirmation, failure, fulfillment stop, and access outcomes remain distinct.
